The Time To Scatter Stones…

When the business autumn/fall season is at its highest peak, law firms’ agendas starts be filling with a list of quite serious and time consuming administrative tasks. To which I include:
1) Planning activities for the next (2014) year;
2) Budgeting process;
3) Annual Appraisal;
Here is the shortlist of papers, with which, as a result of these processes, partners and management should be armed (a kind of a gentlemen’s set for the next year):
— Goals and objectives of the firm for the next year;
— SWOT analysis;
— List of clients (by category, for example, key, potential, current, the ones to say «goodbye»…);
— List of products (by category, for example, core, tested, new, by-demand…);
— Staff by categories (market-level, experts, promotees, come&go, sucks);
— Annual budget;
— Targets (KPIs), pro forma and schedule of management reporting (read — monitoring of its performance).
